I'm Victoria Ruan. Some people call me v.ru. I like road trips and making photographs ....the rest is still unwritten
Peanut Butter & Jelly. Apples and cinnamon. Hall & Oates. Weddings and fall. What do these things have in common? They go together perfectly. And to think it almost didn’t happen. Three weeks before the wedding, Heather was diagnosed with tuberculosis and had to be confined for a few weeks. But a week before they gave her a clean bill of health and the wedding went off without a hitch- Hallelujah! It was an incredibly moving ceremony for them and their families and I’m so humbled that they asked me to capture it.
Here’s a peek at the wedding. shot at Alwyngton Manor in Warrenton, VA. The venue is a historic house owned and run by husband and wife team, Cory and Sherry Harlow. Their staff was excellent and Sherry even helped me with a little impromptu art project for the bride….but I’ll save that picture for later.
Oh, and btw… I guess this is my inaugural “I’m a wedding photographer” blog post. Yay! If you like what you see here you can check out more of my photos here.
